MCPU Upgrade to AMI
Dear Mt. Carmel Public Utility Co. Customer,
Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) upgrades provide a cost-effective way to ensure efficient and reliable utility service.
Mt. Carmel Public Utility Co. (MCPU) is investing in necessary new equipment, including Advanced Meters. These meters transmit and receive data automatically and securely with our office. Two-way communication eliminates the need for manual meter reads, enables new programs for outage notification, and provides alerts to help with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
MCPU will install new Advanced Meters at customer locations over the next six months as part of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) enhancements to ensure the quality and reliable delivery of electricity and natural gas.
